Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What does a Folk Fancies pattern include?

    Packets include step-by-step instructions for acrylic paints, detailed full size patterns including diagrams for highlight and shading placement in some instances, technique sheet, supply list, directions for woodcutting (where applicable) and one or more colour pictures/ photo(s) including close-ups as required.

  2. When will patterns be shipped?

    Your patterns will be mailed by regular post upon receipt of payment. Please allow 5-7 days for processing and delivery within Canada. All other destinations will vary, we will e-mail you with the necessary information. If you wish Expresspost or other faster forms of shipment, additional payment will be requested.

  3. Are personal cheques accepted?

    No personal cheques please. Credit card payments through Paypal. Money orders payable to Susan V. Cochrane.

  4. What is your refund policy?

    Due to the copyrighted nature of the material offered for sale, you will understand that there are no exchanges or refunds.

  5. What taxes are charged?

    Folk Fancies is a GST registered company. GST will be charged at 5%. For Ontario, Canada  residents, there is also an 8% Provincial Sales Tax. For outside Canada, no tax is applicable.

  6. What is Folk Fancies' teaching policy?

    All painting patterns, photographs and graphics offered for sale on this website are copyrighted and may not lawfully be used in any way without the purchase of the pattern(s) and the written permission of the owner. The author must be contacted before any advertising is offered to the public. After contact, and if the result is affirmative, the project may then be advertised. If the class is successfully filled, a pattern must be purchased from the author for each student in each class and a Letter of Permission is then issued. Discounts available to teachers for their classes.
